When an Applicant nominates a Recommender to complete a request form, the nominee/recommender can see a listing of all the applicants that have nominated them to complete recommendations across all the applications on the site.
A Nominee can work on multiple Recommendation at one time by switching between the nomination using the “My Recommendation” List screen.
I. Accessing Recommendations
There are three different options for the nominee to access their recommendations:
Option 1: By clicking the access link in the email you receive.
Option 2: Logging in using the Nominator Login located on the login screen and Access Code provided to you in your email.
Option 3: If you already have a user account (Applicant, Admin, Department Admin, Reviewer, or any other role type user), you will be able to log in using your current login access.
Option 1: Accessing from the link in the email:
Step 1: Click the “click here” link provided in the email.
Step 2: This will open the section/form that you are nominated to completed.
Step 3: Once you have completed the section/form, click the Submit button at the bottom of the section/form to submit your replies. The applicant will be notified that your recommendation has been completed, (if you wish to decline the recommendation, click the Decline button to decline. This will notify the applicant that you have declined their request)
Step 4: If you have additional recommendations from other applicants, you can view them by selecting “My Recommendations” located at the top of the page. (see: Viewing All My Recommendations below.)
Option 2: Using the Nominator Login and Access Code
Step 1: Click the URL link provided in the email or copy and paste to the address bar of your browser.
Note: You can also access this screen by selecting the Nominator Login located on the site’s login page.
Step 2: This will open the Nominator Login screen. Enter the Access Code received in your email and click the Submit button.
Step 3: This will open the section/form that you are nominated to completed.
Option 3: Accessing Recommendation if you already have a user Account.
If you already have a user account (Applicant, Admin, Department Admin, Reviewer, or any other role type user) and you have been nominated as Recommender by an Applicant, you will be able to log in using your current login access.
(Note: This is only if the email used by the applicant in the request is the same email used in your login account).
Step 1: After logging you will see a My Recommendation Link displayed in the dropdown list in the top section of the screen, that will take you to the Recommendations list screen.
This link will be available across all screens and the user/ Nominee will see the link only if there is minimum of one recommendation Request.
II. Viewing all Recommendations by clicking on My Recommendation Tab
Step 1: Click on the “My Recommendation” Tab Located on the top of the page.
Step 2: In “My Recommendation Tab” a list will display all recommendations across all applicants who requested recommendation from the nominee.
The recommendation screen will have two recommendations lists available.
- Pending Recommendation: Recommendation which are in progress and needs to be completed.
- Completed Recommendation: Recommendations which have been completed. Any recommendation which is declined will also be listed in this list.
Note: A Nominee can work on multiple Recommendation at the one time by switching between the nomination using the “My Recommendation” List screen.
III. Sorting the My Recommendation Report:
The lists will be sorted alphabetically by applicant’s last name by default. However, you can sort them by the following fields.
- Applicant Name (link)
- Grant Name/Application name
- Section Name
- Section Deadline
- Application Deadline
- Date Requested
